Cette discussion est basée sur la production de séries audio et vidéo sur le bien commun produites par trois organisations artistiques du Arts Collaboratory : Platohedro, Kër Thiossane et Waza dans leur contexte méridional. Cette discussion entre les chercheurs avec lesquels chaque organisation a collaboré, s'engage sur ce qui est compris comme bien commun dans nos sociétés actuelles, en travaillant avec des théories spécifiques du "Sud" telles que Buen Vivir/Sumak Kawsay et Ubuntu/ humanisme africain afin d'élargir le discours sur les biens communs de manière plus générale, sans tomber dans les stéréotypes. La discussion appellera à une plus grande reconnaissance de nos propres formes existantes de partage des ressources et des relations avec notre environnement, pour mieux les comprendre, mais aussi pour mieux les valoriser collectivement à travers l'art.
For the opening of the eighth edition of the AFROPIXEL festival, the first agora proposes a discussion on the theme of COMMONS FROM THE SOUTH.
Based on the production of audio & video series on the common goods produced by three arts organisations of Arts Collaboratory, Platohedro, Kër Thiossane and Waza, in their southern contexts, this discussion between the researchers with whom each organisation has collaborated will allow for a better understanding of what is understood as common goods in our societies today, and to work with specific theories from the "South", such as Buen Vivir/Sumak Kawsay and Ubuntu/African humanism, in order to broaden the discourse on common goods more generally, without falling into stereotypes. The discussion will call for a greater recognition of our own existing forms of sharing resources and relationships with our environments, to better understand them, but also to better value them collectively through art.
